Game ON!

February 25, 2011

The feedback from the GMIC 2011 Sustainable Meetings Conference has been overwhelming…amazing…now I know why rock stars don’t retire.  They miss the love!  I am in Twitter withdrawal (not complete, just partial…missing monitoring the 1300+ Tweets over each of the past three days).  But I’ve been reading the blogs today and feeling so privileged to have helped create an event that has proved to be organic…just add people, and you get magic.  They took it and used improv rules:  Yes! and…then they built what they needed on that structure.  Or maybe that’s what you get when you mix social intelligence and innovators with social media.

Here is a sampling of some of the blogs about the conference.  Enjoy!

You should be very proud of this event. It was outstanding! I was so impressed with how well you wove the event and organizational objectives into the gaming and the case study. There is a lot of learning for meeting designers and meeting architects in what you did.

You deserve the love! Let me know when the world tour is coming to Minneapolis/St.Paul. I will buy a ticket to the show.

Thank you! I am teeming with ideas for making it better next time…might have to convince GMIC to let me volunteer again to be conference chair…but honestly, the brilliant piece in the mix wasn’t me. It was the “players”. That includes you!
